Job Instruction (JI) The demands of developing a flexible workforce and training people require standardized best practices. Program attendees are taught how effectively breakdown a job and deliver instruction for individual tasks. Developing and delivering training in this structured fashion fosters the conditions for standardized methods, a base from which improvement can be effectively developed.
The Job Instruction method teaches the supervisor or trainer the supervisor or trainer how to prepare a person to learn, give a proper demonstration, observe the person perform the task, and taper off coaching with proper follow-up.
Benefits experienced when practicing Job Instruction are reduced training time, fewer patient errors, fewer accidents, a more flexible cross-trained staff, and increased job satisfaction.
JI Training will assure staff members are brought on board more quickly and, as new technologies, equipment and procedures rapidly enter the organization, JI training will be the key to quickly and safely making them available to patients. |
